Organization Visuals Repository for Suite
When you purchase the Suite (either Pro or Standard), visuals are provided with your company license already embedded. We recommend uploading these visuals to your organization’s repository (requires Power BI admin access).
Recommendations
- To embed the license, we need to rebuild the source, essentially making them uncertified. And uncertified visuals can not be exported to PPT/PDF. So, for reports requiring export to PDF/PPT, use visuals from AppSource.
- For all other scenarios, use Custom Visual Files with License embedded through organization repository.
Note:
- This visual package is not certified and is complementary to your Suite purchase.
- Visuals have similar functionality and exact same data security as certified visuals.
Advantages of Using the Organization Repository
- Easy file updates: When a visual is updated in the repository, all reports using that visual are updated automatically.
- Easy license updates: No need to enter licenses separately when using embedded-license visuals.
- Centralized license management: Licenses do not need to be distributed to individual developers.
Accessing Organization Visuals
- Open Power BI Desktop or Service: Start your report in Power BI Desktop or the Power BI service.
- Visualizations Pane: Select the ellipsis (...) icon.
- Get More Visuals: From the menu, select "Get more visuals".
- Organizational Visuals Tab: In the dialog box, select the Organizational visuals tab to see visuals made available to you.
- Add the Visual: Click on the desired visual to import it into your report.
